possible wiring problem??

Hi guys,

I biult my first rig a few months ago, and have had only one problem. Not a big deal, but still bugs me. When I shut down in Windows, the computer doesn't shut down all the way. Windows shuts down, and the monitor turns off, but my power LED stays on, and the system is still running (at least i can hear the fans anyway) Is this an issue with MSI's mobos or is it an operator malfunction? Pretty sure I wired everything correctly.

thanks
wanderica

Edit: Oh yeah, I can hold down the power button and the system will turn off.

why is this funny? If I'm an idiot I apologize, I never said I know everything about computers. If I did I wouldn't be on here asking questions. Only one way to learn man. Help me or don't but please don't post to a serious question just to start crap.

Back when I was also having this issue, i found out that it was a known bug with the motherboard. For me however, it only does this when I have a cd/dvd in a drive and leave it there while shutting down... and this is not always 100%, as it will sometimes still shut down with it in there. They might have a bios fix for this now, but since I don't really experience it anymore I just left it alone.
