Possible use for a Geforce3?

I read a while back that there was a pci card that was able to run seti@home very very fast. Would it be possible to do the same thing to a Geforce3, since it is programmable? Or am i just a complete nutcase?
 
You are a complete nutcase ... but then again, we all are complete nutcases so you are right at home.

Can it be done? Probably, with a lot of work. But there are easier ways of doing things.
 
I think he's saying that since the GPU is programmable you can have a specific instruction set sent to the video card since it effectively is a mini-cpu all its own.

And you are a nutcase for even considering a video card just to do something like seti 🙂
