At least, i think thats what i need to use it for;

D-Link DWL-G730AP - Travel Router

What i'm basically looking to do is use it as method for connecting an ethernet jack (out of a slingbox) to my wireless network (and using the travel router as the "client")

Possible?

Probably not. Most SOHO Router/AP combos are only capable of running as an AP and not as a client.

A WRT54G/S with 3rd party firmware, on the other hand, should be able to do it. I'm not sure if the D-Link is capable of being flashed to 3rd party firmware as well, but you might want to Google around a bit on that possibility.

"What people say you cannot do, you try and find that you can."

From what I see on D-Link's pages, it can do that.

I haven't used the D-Link myself, but have used a Netgear wireless print server for this purpose with good results.
