Possible to trick a V5 PCI to do 3D only?

There are still a few games that I'd rather play under the Glide API. My main video card will either be a Radeon 8500 retail or the 8500DV. I'd like to use one of my Voodoo 5 PCI's as a secondary card.

The reason I'm considering this is because my monitor has dual input. It'll switch over to whichever card is sending out a signal.

Now here's the problem: Under dual display setting (in Win2K) I can game with the V5, but it has to be enabled for extended desktop. That means I'd have two videocards feeding signals into my monitor (which I don't want).

Is there a way to disable the 2D component in a V5 so that it'll only send out a signal when I want to play a 3D game under Glide? If this is possible, I'll have a dream setup!

Thanks for reading, I hope someone has a suggestion for me.

Depends on your OS I guess, but I use my AIW Radeon and V3 together in XP, my monitor has dual inputs also and I can choose which ever card I want to be the primary display and disable the other under display properties>settings. I never have tried to use the V3 for glide however, I don't think its supported under XP, I just use the Radeon for gaming. Also, when I enable my secondary display, it disables the video in of my AIW.
