I don't know if this is in the right forum, so please, move this mods, to the aproprate forum if this isn't the one.

That being said, I have a copy of WindowsXP from my grandfather that he gave me for my computer. Forunatley, I have a new copy of WindowsXP from the MSDN-AA, so I no longer need my hard copy of Windows XP. It was previously registered to my grandfather. I'm wondering, how would I go about selling this? Just set up an add in the for sale forum and send the thing over? Is it even possible to sell a copy of XP that has previously been registered?

What I dun like is the hassle of selling things as if we don't have the right to do it...If I BOUGHT it...it belongs to ME...not this "you own the ice but not the refridgerator" crap or whatever

I say sell it...it isn't an illegal copy, you don't need it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but liscences are not transferable. This is atleast the case with OEM computers like Dell, Compaq. I'd only assume the same is true with a copy which has already been registered.

Allright. So if I put it up for sale on the FS/T forums, I should just specify that it's been registered before but it's a retail verison?
