possible to run an amp off my lighter socket?

IT's a small 25w amp, curious to know if i can run it off of a ligher socket, not going to draw to much current, as it's only for a pair of tweeters.....

edit the thing is i am trying to get it to be more or less portable from one car to the next....

If your lighter is 12V you should be able to, but it is definitely not the best way, very hacky install.

The draw may not present a problem to a cigar lighter circuit if it's under 12A but expect to have noise issues due to ground loops.

Do you have a link to the tweeters or amp. You may be able to run them off the factory speakers wires if they are low powered enough 🙂confused: to my grammar).

Just make sure you get a Power Inverter with sufficient continuous power (not peak) output... like this one.

for what? it's a car amp.....designed to run on 12vdc
