Hello everyone.

I have an mp3 player that has an FM radio built into it (Creative Zen Micro). When I take my laptop around, it would be really good if I could output the sound of the radio from the laptop's built in internal speakers (they are actually pretty good - Altec Lansing). Can I do this with some sort of cable by plugging it into the headphone or microphone jack or is there a program I could use to do it?

Thanks.

Thanks tweekah, I just looked in the bag of cables that I have and saw that I actually have one of those cables. So I pluged on end into my mp3 player and the other into my microphone/input jack. I didn't know what to test it with so I loaded up Half-Life 2, typed i nthe console command voice_loopback 1 (play's back anything from the mic) and it worked! I then used Windows Voice recorder, and recorded what was happeneing. Then played it back and it worked! So now I need to find something that will play it back as it is playing. Something it windows for testing speakers?

Shouldn't need any special software for it to work. Just goto your volume control settings and unmute your mic input or make sure volume on mic is turned up.

Oh yeah that does work! Thanks man. It seems a bit 'fuzzy' though. Through MSN it actualy sounded a bit better. Anyway, that's basically what I needed. All to simple. Thanks tweekah. :D:D

EDIT: It was the microphone boost setting that made it 'fuzzy'. Unticking it made it perfect :D:D
