I have a Galaxy S7. Now is it possible to get any type of malware, phishing on your phone by surfing to a malicious website using chrome or samsung's on browser?

Second, if you wanna be sure, which are the best free lightweight AV's to get for a Galaxy S7?

I don't suggest anti virus.

I strongly suggest getting an Adblocker. If Rooted, you can globally block all ads everywhere.

Samsung browser and Firefox both support excellent Adblockers in their addons without root.

I use AdAway + browser adblock. I no longer get ads in apps and on the web. These malicious ads are everywhere and attempt to prey on tech illiterate people.

Unicorn is not free but it is not too expensive. ($2) It works with Samsung browser and Yandex browser.

I personally have no experience of getting my phones infected but I have seen a couple of unexpected pop-ups on a certain brand's phone. (not Sammy's) What I did was closing it via Recent Apps, instead of trying to close the browser tab. If I am really unsure and unable to close the app I would reboot the phone. If that does not fix it you know you are infected. Thankfully that scenario has never happened in my years of Android use.

The Samsung browser allows adblock plugins.

Incidentally, anyone concerned about security should buy Disconnect Pro for Samsung phones ($20 on Galaxy Apps). It uses the Knox firewall to block all trackers - as well as, I believe, ads - systemwide without the need for root.
