Dell sells them. I'm typing on one right now; an Inspiron 1501.

Dell has three of them under their "Home & Home Office" section.

Products -> Laptops -> View all laptops -> then in the "Narrow Your Search" column on the left, expand the "Operating System" heading and click "Windows XP".

Your welcome.

don't know if this'll work for you

If you have a copy of XP available, you can legally downgrade from Vista to XP. Maybe not the best solution, but it is an option.

Our company ordered a bunch of Lenovo T61s and a few X61s with XP installed.

long story short. I bought a toshiba from Newegg and downgraded it. After finally finding all the drivers, it just didn't work quite right.

to all the people who said Dell.com I will go there as a last resort, but I am going to look locally tonight.. I am supposed to have a lappy for a lan party tonight, but the toshiba didn't quite work out the way I expected

dell is still offering XPPro on theirs. thats all i can buy for work, the software we use isnt vista compliant as of yet...

and for that matter, every manufacturer will load XP on a puter for ya, you just have to call and order it that way instead of using the online purchase pages.

Micro Center has some if you have a location close to you. Newegg has some as well if you don't mind waiting for it.

These threads always crack me up. I can't believe that people are so blindly against Vista. Resistance is futile.

Actually, none of us ever have to use vista if we don't want to...

Sure, if you never upgrade. Good luck finding drivers for XP in the future though. PC manufacturers have already stopped providing them. Also, if you ever want to make use of more than 3.x GB of ram you will need to upgrade to a 64bit OS.

You can still go through Dell Small Business and get one of their laptops with XP Pro on it.

Vista sucks, plain and simple. There are no if, ands or buts. Vista is the reincarnation of Windows ME, period. That is my HONEST OPINION and I'm sticking to it.

I'd like to see XP do this. Everything else (including XP MCE) pales in comparison.
