I'm not sure if anyone else has ran into this before but I've had some random event errors show up on a 2K server I've got here in the lab. During intense disk activity, copying large database files across the network it has caused a STOP error with the event info below logged in the event log. Also, periodically these errors just show up even with no disk activity. Ideas?
First Error:
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR1, is not ready for access yet.
Proceeded by:
dmio: Harddisk1 write error at block 240121727: status 0xc000009d
I have 4 drives in this system each pair in a raid 1 mirror, the first set of drives is on an adaptec 1200A controller and the second are on a via sata raid controller. I suspect that \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 is the first raid (C
second disk? Gotta love the clarity of event messages. The issue seems to either be a bad drive in the raid or the controller itself (which is up to date with the latest firmware and drivers).
Any advice is appreciated.
