POSSIBLE PS2 Price drop to $179

EBGames and Gamestop both are showing the ps2 as 179 now. I've also heard $199 with a broadband adapter.

I thought it was suppose to drop to $149 soon same with the xbox. Gamecube was suppose to drop to $99

Once it goes down to $100 i will buy it. It aint worth any more then that.

At E3, someone asked MS about the price drop, and they said they were going to try and keep it at $200 for another holiday season. They'd only drop if Sony did first.

To each his own, but with games like Tenchu 3, Metal Gear Solid 3 (upcoming), the GTA series (sure they're on the pc now), Dynasty Warriors 4, and Gran Turismo 4, the ps2 is a great console to own. I paid $250 for mine and it was worth it then

they're smart. milk the consumer for those who are unaware of the price drop if one occurs. some will PM to the lower price, some wont even bother. they're banking on that latter crowd.

i think its in todays nytimes. they keep dropping console prices, but game sales aren't making up for lost profits. ah well heh
