OK so I got my new Proc, MB and memory yesterday. AU11 MB, XP 2100+ TB, and 512 Kingston DDR PC2100. I rip out the old MB and such and start up the new one at the reccomended settings. Run 3dMark 2001 and get a score of 2424. I go in and start tweaking it, and try to get some more speed out of the thing and manage to get it stable at about 2.1 Ghz. 13.5x157 and Synced memory timing. Run 3d Mark again and get 2404.

Now I'm pretty sure the logical reason is that I have a bottleneck in my video card which is only a GeForce 2 MX 400. However that aside, what else might this be? Or is it just definately the video card and I just need to get rid of this piece o poo.

Hmmm, why not try to multiplier back down to 13 instead of 13.5 and up the fsb to 166? It should work and I think ur results may better with this combination. As for ur 3dmark score, I say u give a rat's a5s about that stupid ass benchmark. It is such an overrated benchmark. Do benchmarks that really count such as sis sandrasoft.

Also, if you haven't downloaded the via drivers, download them! If you don't have em, no tweak would help until you have them installed.

I'd say you have two bottlenecks. The first bottleneck is the GF2 MX and this is the one you are running into right now. The second one you will run into when you upgrade your video card. It is the memory. 157MHz FSB on that memory is impressive but you will get your best performance from 166MHz and faster. I'd get some faster memory as soon as finances allow for it.
