Possible new tactical shooter, Rainbow Six ilk

Looks like one of the original Rainbow Six guys is trying to crowdsource a new tactical shooter game / sim, in the same way Project CARS works.

Could be interesting and maybe worth a donation, I'm contemplating it.

If he was involved in the PC versions of the Ghost Recon series, rather than the console versions that he mentioned, I'd be much more interested; they were entirely different game series. As it stands, I have no idea what his/their idea of a "hardcore tactical shooter" is.

Good point but we don't always choose exactly what we want to do. I certainly don't know the circumstances but not everyone would probably have the principles to refuse to work on X project if their boss told them to, it might well result in them having no job at all. Definitely like you said though, we have a limited idea of what he means by a 'hardcore tactical shooter' and whether it releates to the original R6 game or the later, consolized versions of the ghost recon or rainbow 6.

I agree, and I would have no issue with him referencing his work on those games he mentioned, if he later clarified that those games were not what this project is about.

I guess I'll bookmark the page, and see if anymore info gets posted.
