Did anyone happen to go to any of these auctions this week in North Carolina and Tennessee? Did anyone get any hot deals there?

I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth going to the one in Harrisburg PA tomorrow. I went to the website (www.conplantseast.com), and they still didn't have the list of lots posted for tomorrow's auction.

thanks

CheapoMan:

Do you still have that HP3150 for $200?
Can you give me more details? (you can email me)
I am interested.

I went to the Auction in Harrisburg, PA. Due to the wrong address being
published on the internet, it was a gold mine.... 15' LCD displays sold early for $275.00 each.
At the end more people showed up and the 15' LCD's went for $570.00 each (I could kick myself
since I was holding out for the second batch). The Laptops sold at the end for:
$500 for IBM 600E's, $400 for IBM 770x's, $300 for IBM 770E & 770ED. I had the option to
purchas approx. 10 770E(D) for $300 each (only took one and again the kicking increases)

I recommend if there is one of these auctions in your neighborhood to attent, who knows you
may have the same fortune.

I gave two years of my life to this scumbag company too. They treated employees like crap, especially where I was in South Jersey. I danced a jig when I heard they went belly up...good riddance dirtbags! The computer equipment they sold was overpriced garbage so I don't know if the auctioned stuff is any better. This is a HAPPY day!

Me too, I worked for Inacom/Vanstar for about a year an a half. I can't complain though, because of them I now work for the company where they had me on site, making more than double my Inacom salary :). For what it is worth, Most of Inacom's inventory was liquidated long before they filed chapter 11, some good stuff too! All they had left was mostly just crap (in NY anyway). They just piled up all the inventory and called a computer recycler to come and TAKE IT FOR FREE, a tax write off I guess. It was quite heartbreaking to watch it all given away for free. If they do have one in NY there won't be much.
