I've been looking to build a budget system around a cpu like these, this seems to beat newegg by $15-$20.

Thoughts? may pull the trigger on this soon. they have similar quad core combos also

Eh...microcenter has much better prices for retail boxed CPUs...E8400 was $119 2 weeks ago, then it was $129 last week, and it's $139 this week...but still a better deal. E7400 is 109...
So if you have a microcenter B&M nearby it's definitely a better deal to just buy the retail, since that cooler isn't exactly worth it.

well, im 3 hours from a microcenter so for me thats out. theres also a coupon floating around for ewiz for $10 off $150. I ended up going the 8400 and i don't feel bad at all after comparing the prices with what was available to me.

you don't have to justify yourself to threadcrappers... your deal is solid... i used the $off to get a 8400 a couple days ago... lot's of people don't have a frys or mc in the neighborhood... and a deal that ended last week isn't much of a deal...
