possible help for internet connection>?

Well i was brousing today and it was extemely slow.
Before i was getting like 3800 dl
today i have been getting like 30 dl

I have a cable connection

i rebooted the ole puter
ran adware
and restarted my modem

any other ideas>?

Your node just might be bogged down. Is it a crappy day outside? Everybody in your neighborhood might be inside surfing today.

what program/what are you downloading where you see the transfer rates? I'm asking b/c if you're using kazaa, it's strictly user based. If you have a slow user, obviously, you're not going to be able to get 150kb/s out of them. If you're downloading persay from a Microsoft server where you normally get 300kb/s and now you're getting 30 kb/s, it could have something to do with the time of day and the server getting hammered. There are a lot of variables that you've left out.

well the slowest i have ever had was 400 dl.
today is a very nice day.
Oh and the way i test my connection is with pcpitstop and dsl reports.
