Harvey has gone FAR out of his way to help me. I know my FIRST trade has gone bad...but seriously calm down on something that has nothing to do with you all the people raging here.

Is it wrong of me to assume paypal who had WAY over the top security back when i last used it...to offer a option that bypassed all security?

G I F T

I use that to send $$ to grandkids or to people I trust from my personal life:colbert:

You apparently have heard of scams and fraud across the internet but it did not register.🙁

The option was added because they beefed up their options. Like all good things; some people try to take advantage of it and others are willing accomplices.

Unacceptable. If you have finals and cannot get off your ass to ship something, don't sell it during finals.

Okay folks - the term GIFT is understood and using it in the context of paypal is understood. Time to stop harping on it post after post.

OP - contact Paypal. Tell them you didn't understand the payment option the seller was requesting and see if they will allow you to file a claim. It has happened in the past that they allowed it. Be prepared for an answer you don't like though.

Also, be glad Harvey is on the case. Hopefully we can determine if this individual is a known troll or not, and get all of or pitchforks and torches ready.

This issue has been resolved. Harvey:wub: is the man. That is all.

*edit* The seller was a guy in college working a part time job and a rigid finals schedule. He shipped the night of the last final 2 day shipping. No pitchforks needed. The user that was scamming World of Warcraft accounts has nothing to do with this gentleman.

< snff > ... We love happy endings. 😎

And thanks for the kind words. 🙂

finals or no finals, the guy made a deal and you fullfilled the payment method of his choice, he has a obligation to ship the item ASAP after reciept of payment. If he can't plan around finals or whatever excuse he is using he should of told you to wait to pay him until he can ship it ASAP. I would file a claim and tell him that you gave him more then a considerable amount of time to ship and he hasn't done so. next time he will take the ordeal more seriously when he attempts to sell items online. Anyone who was a serious seller/reseller would of had better communication throughout the sell/purchase process.

ASAP is too arbitrary. ASAP to the seller might be as soon as he is done with finals. I always specify a 2-3 business day time to ship after selling something on ebay.
