possible failing ssd?pc constantly resetting itself every few mins

As title says this pc last night was fine then my gf brings to my attention this morning that the pc randomly reset itself....i'm thinking ok possibly she hit a button or something.

But nope sure enough i'm browsing in these forums putting no stress on the system,its constantly resetting itself.

Only funny business i now notice is google chrome is putting the default settings back in order and i put them back the way i want it loops on another reboot and yup back to default.

I heard if a ssd fails apparently it fails to hold info or settings so i figured its possibly the ssd .

Any help i would be thankful 🙂

Edit:been running both prime 95 and furmark for over 10 mins and solid as a rock....any good memory testing programs?Seems when i open a program that opens a chunk of memory or run a game that uses it,thats when it happens

Only way to tell is to remove the SSD and see if the problem persists, could be loads of different things.

Is this a desktop or laptop? Typically sudden shut offs are power supply related.

Earlier it kept doing it every few mins,i uninstalled the beta 285.38 drivers i go back to 280.26 after that it only shut off once.

Was able to game for over a hour just now went pretty fine till near the end....where in BC2 the screen kept flickering and everything but info in the game was all black...kept on happening with big explosions and stuff..

Ended up being a on and off issue but iv'e had this card for a while furmark seems to test 18% of the vram so i believe theres a bad module or something cause only when the settings are cranked,does this ever happen.

But problems appear constantly or possible a vrm on the card is getting to hot...in game it never runs over 60cel...but it was warmer earlier too ..

The shutting off happened randomly either the moment i try and come on this site or 15 mins in a game...no telling when

what brand/model SSD is it? OCZ/Sandforce are known to have issues, although the other mfgs aren't immune to issues either.

Temps for both are good even when they were in full stress with prime95/furmark.

Think the beta 285.38 drivers were to blame cause since i went back to 280.26,it only happened once and has stopped all together .

Funny cause i rollled with 285.38 from the night prior to BF3 beta on the 27th till the night before yesterday when i removed BF3 beta and only after the game was removed did i encounter issues...

First and last time i run with beta drivers or a beta game for that matter,nothing but headaches for me anyways.
