I recieved the following email from ebay regarding this auction I have listed selling a new sealed PC game. Is this a scam to get my CD key or am I being paranoid? Should I report him?

Email Follows:

i would definately not do that

b/c i dont know how getting the serial woudl all you to authenticate the game, unless you have a copy already....

Gee...like this ISN'T a scam to get your CD-KEY and ruin your auction...

If it's sealed you can't get to the key anyway, so tell him that.

This Auction is for a sealed copy of the PC game Age of Mythology: The Titans Expansion. I also have a copy of the original Age of Mythology for sale under another thread. I will combinne S/H if you win both.

haha the guy who emailed him is a moron 🙂

Take a picture of the CD Key certificate and use Photoshop to blur out half the characters. Send him that.

Or you can respond with "how about I don't give out another serial number to be pirated on the internet?"
