Possible deal on the Guild Wars Deluxe Version from BestBuy.

I preordered the deluxe version Guild Wars(Also called Collector's Edition). Looks good for RPG lovers. I never preorder a game, but on this I did because bestbuy had it on there website first(before anyone else) for $59.99. Then later everyone else (Compusa, CC, kmart, target, exc.)put it up for $79.99 or $89.99. So I think it's an error on BB's part and I was going to get the game anyway, so might as well go the way that could save me money.

BestBuy still has the price at $59.99 for the Deluxe version, so if you were going to get it you should preorder from best buy. I really think it's a mistake because they don't let you preorder the deluxe version in the store and it comes with way more the 10 bucks worth of extras.

This game is great and it is ORPG. This is not the kind of game that you will pay, pay and pay. It is different. You pay once and get to play it forever. This is almost as good as MMORPG. I played the beta and the recent updates on the game made it even more interesting and different from all other games. There are two side to this game. Your normal RPG experience and the PVP experience. The abilities and etc that you accomplished on your RPG side can be used on the PVP side. When you play RPG, you get to do normal things like do missions, quest, explore, pvp and etc. But if you start a char on the PVP side, then you get to recustomize a char but get to use the abilities you have gained on the RPG side.

well enough the explaining and just go to www.guildwars.com. This is a strategic RPG. everything from the top to the bottom is very strategic. you can only have a total of 8 spells active and there is no changing spells in a middle of a mission, fight, etc. 8 spells to pick from a total of 100+ spells so it becomes very strategic.

What are your opinions on this guys?
They put the wrong info on there site because they put it up before a MSRP had been told.
Now they just cancel your order because they don't want to put up with there own mistake.
I understand they are going to give me a $10 doller of E-coupon, but it's only for a future purchase. Thats not making up for a $20 doller price hike when I had already ordered.

I am going to call them about this tommorow if I have time. I fthey won't do anything over the phone i'll print this and my receipt out and take it to the manager of my local BestBuy, mabye he's nice.

P.S. I see that it was called the deluxe edition now it's collectors, but I order the better version. They made the mistake they dam well better comp it to me.
Am I right?

They can do that becuase they shipped the item.
You cold also cancel and not pay any restocking fee or any other fees, bscuse it was shipped. Not to start a flame but you know they posted it wrong when you order it.
Thye did call it deluxe and not collector. For we know they might told BB that they would have an Deluxed addition and then pulled it. Now if they charged your card al ready i would put up a fight but as it stands its with in thier right.

this collector's edition is worst than the deluxe edition cause there is no cloth map anymore. two things i was in for and one is the cloth map and logitech headset, only an added $10 from the non-deluxe.

it is now more junk w/no cloth map.

Not to troll or anything, but Guild Wars is the new Diablo2. Since it's "free" after purchase, you're going to get the battle.net kiddies that can't afford to pay for WoW. Just my 2cents. Plus the game really didn't do anything for me during a few of the betas i've played in.

It kind of reminded me of a glorified Dungeonsiege with a lot of players in the lobby a.k.a towns lol. WoW for me 🙂

I did really like the graphics. Very nice... loved the way the char pulls the bow and you hear the creaking of the wood etc. Prob will still get it in the end. But I'll wait for when it has released an expansion pack or two and the typical box set comes out that includes the expansions ehehehehe.
