Seems like it might be possible to sharpen the replica's somewhat but its not a good solution

Any way to do this, or is there any place that sells swords that look like the replica's, but have a true blade?

Because I'm generally under the belief that you shouldn't have a sharp sword unless you know what you are doing with it. And if you really know what you are doing with one you probably don't want to use a replica lotr sword for anything. Then again its only my opinion so continue with your search.

exactly, I dont want to attempt to sharpen one of the false edged 420 carbon blades, I was hoping however that there was a swordsmith who made a balanced true sword, I like the look of Narsil.
