Saw this at a dvd forum site and some of the guys said that Electronics Boutique is might be doing the same promotion (2 DVD's trade for star wars II). Some ppl said it worked and some said it already passed with the spiderman promotion. Others said it hasn't been done yet.

The SKU for the DVD is 2285492

Not sure, but I'll try to keep you guys up to date. Or if you guys know anything about this deal, please reply.

Hmm Episode 2 sucked huh?
I don't wanna start a flame war here but I tend to disagree just a tad bit with you.
I'm sure there are others that do as well.
Gonna be awesome when this comes out!

It was OK, better than Phantom Menace but not better than any of the films of the first (or second?) trilogy.

Spider-Man was better!:p

Do they restrict what DVDs they want? I could buy 2 copies of UHF (5.00 at bestbuy.com) and trade them in, or would they not accept them?

I checked last week at my local store and the manager said he hasn't heard of an Episode trade-in deal although they had the Spider-man one that expired at the beginning of the month. I'll try again now. Thanks.

Well with 2 used DVD's in hand (bought at the local used CD/DVD/Game store...total cost $5.35) I proceeded to the EB in the north suburbs of Pittsburgh, and walked out with my paid receipt for SW AOTC. I wonder which movie they will do this for next. I can hardly wait until November. Spiderman and AOTC, got to love it, all for less than $13.00.

I think that was the problem... pretty cool movie with a crappy ending.

Twister00: What movies did you trade in? I'd like to do the deal, but i'm not sure what EB's exclusions are. I assume I could get copies of the movies you traded for it.

wtf? What movie were you watching HarryBons, episode II was bad ass. Either you're some freak who didnt like the originals, and therefore, no star wars movies at all, or you're one of those guys who is so in love with the originals and been building them up so much in your mind since the 80's that no addition to the series could ever meet your ridiculous expectations.

That said, Attack of the Clones holds it's own, it deserves an equal place of honor among episodes 4-6, No question. :)

Well, I think what made Ep I and Ep II (and prolly Ep III) so...substandard compared to the original trilogy is that George Lucas directed them. Yes, he directed the original Star Wars movie, but it looks like that was a fluke. I think Lucas should have hired a director and stuck to writing the story and effects. No costume designing for him either!

I hate to admit it, but I don't even remember the titles. One of them had Jodie Foster in it. The other had "Outlaw" in the title. Not much help, I'm sorry. I was at the used DVD store looking at prices not titles and once I found some cheapies I called the EB store and asked them to check titles for me, and once I had 2 movies that were on the list I didn't give them anymore thought.

Do you really think the opinion you write here has any impact on what someone does? What's the point? "Uh oh, this random guy on the forums said he didn't like the movie, I'm not gonna get it now!" Come back down to reality. ;) Let them get the movie they want for cryin' out loud.

I'll take explanation number 3: "Even though I LOVE Star Wars, it's hard to enjoy a movie with no character development and cornball dialogue delivered in a deadpan voice."

At least Episode I had magnificent choreographed light sabre duels. I can't point to one outstanding feature about Episode II.

A funny thing happened when I went back to the Ros Park Mall EB today. I was going to get a copy of SWII AOTC for my
brohter-in-law. I went in with my 2 used DVD's, and a different sales clerk was working today. He told me that there IS NOT a trade in deal for SWII, and there hasn't been one yet. I told him that I did it on Sunday, and that I had a receipt stating that I had a pre-order for the movie. He called another local EB and confirmed that there is not a promo on. He told me I was lucky and that the clerks working this past Sunday will get grief for doing it. Hmmmmmm. There seems to be some confusion here. Either I was very lucky or not everyone at EB knows what they are doing.

I called my EB today and they said they had one for Spider-Man, and it was 3 DVDs you had to trade-in to get it.
