Lol, I don't know Portuguese and free on-line translations often suck, BUT I'm a decent deductive thinker, so . . .

These are tickets. The "Pista" if you look at the site illustration, seems to be the seating with the "Palco" I would guess being the stage. Inteira sounds vaguely like interior (maybe covered from the elements?) and costs more, so I'd say that the Pista Inteira are the premium seats and the cheaper Pista Meia are the mezzanine type seats, overhanging from the sides?

Portuguese is a "romance" language like Spanish, Italian, French and a decent part of English -- meaning they all derive from Latin.

And, just generally, when you are offered a choice of differently priced tickets, they are differentiated by seating choices, no?

Hmmmm, I see where the on line translations are coming out Half Track/Full track or Half Trace/Whole Trace. Now I see where you're getting your confusion, but try not to be so literal or you'll end up as impossibly stupid as "I don't understand 5 of 9" boy.

Languages are chock full of idioms. Full Track is probably more along the lines of "full boat" in the sense of "premium" meaning "best seats."

Don't be dumb like a translation bot, or worse, deliberately and passionately dumb like "5 of 9" boy, stay loose, use your head, employ lateral thinking, and Profit!

Not even knowing for sure, I'd bet I am correct here. 😉


 
pista is french cognate for track... if they had made it as obvious as the word for seating it would make more sense... up?

"Track" could be an idiomatic stand-in for "row", as in seat row, while "half" and "full" could be idiomatic stand-ins for "best" and "second best."

You have to free up your mind to decipher these things! If you stay tethered to the literal you'll get nowhere and look stupid in the process.

Idioms. You must be flexible in your understanding that they are non-linear in meaning -- it is in fact the very definition of an idiom.

Think Starbuck coffee sizes. Do they make any kind of literal sense whatsoever?

Or . . . think slang: "Get down and dirty." How do you think a literal language bot would translate that into any other language? The translation would make NO sense at all as regards its actual meaning!

But you need convincing! OK.

Translate the heading for these two choices, "Selecione o setor desejado" which I don't even need a Bot to know means "Select a desired Sector."

See? They are talking about SEATING! The fact that they have a seating diagram right next to this box should have been your next and final clue.
 
IMO its middle (full view of the stage) vs side (partial view).

Pista Interia means entire stage
Pista Meia means 1/2 stage

Pista Inteira is full price and is most likely the central seating area. Pista Meia is half price for students and such and would be the side areas. The rest is just signing in to buy tickets and a synopsis of the band if you want me to translate, but we know what radiohead is all about, lol. R$200 is about $85 american

Seems like to register for the site you might need your CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) which is basically a brazilian tax ID (Social security number). I?m sure there would be a way around that part of it, I doubt they require only Brazilians to go, lol.
 
my friend with a minors in spanish and few years of portuguese says pista meia is for student... but thats implicit with the poorer seating?

Yeah it sounds like they offer a discount for students but only in the lower priced seating areas.
