Whats even more amusing is that I was actually informed by Google Maps.

WTF though? It sounds like it was renamed by someone speaking bad English. How about just Avenue of Roses?

It sounds weird and awkward. We don't have any other streets named like that around here.

Is it just an honorary name? I imagine it'll still be known as 82nd and then they'll stick honorary street signs underneath. Sort of like Rosa Parks in the NE.
