Do they still have the Citaricon *sp? It's the punk bar I believe on 6th ave.

The Satyricon, and yes, it was re-opened earlier this year after being closed for like 5 years. Text
Don't listen to Nik, this is a famous punk venue.

A meet sounds like fun but I can't say right now if I can make it. With mjuszczak making it up, I suggest going someplace that is not a nationwide chain like Rock Bottom.

Don't worry..no one listens to Nik anyway 😛

I used to love going to that place when in lived in the Couv years ago. Since it's reopened, I'll have to take a drive down there the next time I'm visiting the fam.

Too bad you guys aren't have the meet later on this month. Was going to head down there..

Beer and what else?

What else is there man!!!11!

Tip one for me fellas. No way I can make that trek.

Oh just take him to Darcelle's and call it good. Everyone can use a culturally diversifying experience every once in a while, especially while on a cross-country road trip!!

Hmm, I've been going out there for work. I'll be in town Sept 15 to the 26. Too bad I can't make it this weekend.

Food's really cheap at the Acrop!!

It's cheap because it's owned by a cattleman. He raises beef for a living and the Acrop is his little side project. Cheap steaks that taste better than 95% of any other restaurant around 😀

Somehow I can't imagine chowing down on a big medium-rare steak and potato dinner with privates undulating in plain view. That's one of very few gentleman's clubs I haven't been to. Since I got hitched it isn't exactly 'on the list' anymore.

Acrop - AKA - McLoughlin Center for the Performing Arts

It's actually quite nice. Great food, great alcohol, and T&A everywhere 😀 😀

Can you come out with us though? If we don't go to the Acrop? What if we hit up Harvey's or something?

I'm not going to the Acrop again. That place sucks ass, lol. The worst dancers in town (unless you count Jiggles, but that's not in the city limits), and the steaks... well, sure, it's only 8 dollars for a pound of meat, but you get what you pay for; it's no Ringside. And besides, who wants to eat steak with some old woman shaking her awful fake tits in your face?

Disgusting place...

Harveys on the other hand... It sucks actually, I got a call from Harvey's earlier for free tickets and I turned them down because I thought I'd be out of town this weekend. Well, it turns out my car isn't up for the trip, so I'll be in town, but now no free tickets. ah heck.

Well I'm splitting town tomorrow early AM unfortunately.

Count me in for the next one, and somebody have a Hammerhead for me!

Well, I won't be there. But I do have a question. How is the economy in Portland in regards to media related jobs (TV, film, writing, publishing, etc)? I am thinking of moving there in a year or two, but would want a job in that industry.

You updated the OP with a time and place but no location. Are we calling it the White Eagle?

At this point, the only thing for certain is sushi and the Acropolis. If you want to do something else, PM me your cell or post some specific suggestions on what to do.

The White Eagle looks fun.

I dunno. Maybe I'll trick Matt into going to this awesome club full of hotties called Silverado 😉 😛

So we need to pick a place, because I met 3 girls tonight who want to go - but I didn't have a place to tell them to go to! 🙁

Party @ the hilton downtown afterwards. I've got a nice room here.

Did you meet them at Silverado? If so, I'm out.

My friend who lives here keeps telling me to go to the lucky lab brewery. How's that?

Man, my only primary day in Portland and I wake up at 3:30. Go figure. Alls well! 🙂 It was worth it, I was TIRED.

I'm showering now and I'm gonna go walk around.
