I'll allow it, because pan-fried spam is a tasty treat. I prefer it on a toasted bagel, with cream cheese.Ohman… nf is gonna have an aneurysm for this… fried spam is fucking awesome! Once a year is cool, and it's got to be sliced thin and cooked crispy. Just mustard on white bread.
*logs off so nf can’t dox him*
I make my bacon in the toaster oven, I line the baking sheet with foil, and do a layer of foil on top while it cooks as well, so there's essentially no mess to speak of. I think your ranking is too high though, or you need to get better bacon, Spam is maybe 60% as good as bacon.Spam's fucking awesome, and more than once a year too. It's about 85% as good as bacon, without the huge mess, and shrinkage. It also has more substance. And since we're on the topic... I get some kind of vegan Cuban style rice and beans in a can. Dice up some spam, fry it crispy, and add to the rice and beans with huge helping of El Yucateco brown. Amazing.
I would love to. I'll take a look next time at Costco. I haven't bought Heinz in a while, as I get ketchup at Whole Foods when I don't have the sugar free one from a different shop.Try some Portland Ketchup, they're not a megacorp!
So yesterday, I thought that I hit rock bottom having to explain to someone on Facebook about when to open windows to cool down the temperature in the room. I answered to open the windows when the temperature outside is colder than the room temperature (and will be colder while the window is open). There's no sugar in Heinz, read the ingredients losers.
I, uh, think maybe it was facetious post.So yesterday, I thought that I hit rock bottom having to explain to someone on Facebook about when to open windows to cool down the temperature in the room. Now, I have to explain that high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup are both types of sugars. So, long story short, there are multiple types of sugar. Sugar is a broad term for sweet tasting, soluble carbohydrates of the Cn(H2O)n general chemical formula. Here is a good list of names for different sugars, which includes High Fructose Corn Syrup (#2 on the link) and Corn Syrup (#40 on the link).

Now if you are trying to be cute about the FDA's definition of sugar (which is a crystal) vs. a syrup (which is a liquid), then you still fall flat. Since the discussion is about the sweet taste that applies to both crystal or liquid forms of sugar/syrup.
Whew! 🤣I'll allow it, because pan-fried spam is a tasty treat. I prefer it on a toasted bagel, with cream cheese.
NFW! That's a hard NO from me. This coming from an adopted coonass for quite a few years…
I'm a huge hot sauce fan. I like the ones that have some heat like making your brow sweat but not the ones that melt your face off.
I'm not a good candidate for advising people on what's hot. I like things waaay hotter than most people, even people that say they like hot stuff. That one is about as hot as I like for stuff like cheese & crackers. A big dollop on top, and chow down, but even so, I usually prefer the green for that. I go much hotter for cooked food where the sauce is distributed throughout the dish.I'm a huge hot sauce fan. Is this one comparable to that or is it kind of on the mild side like Louisiana, Cholula, Franks, ect.
Mayan Recipe. This looks interesting. Never heard of or seen this out here in CA. Will have to keep an eye out. Although my tolerance for heat has diminished. Still wiling to try. 4oz bottle sounds tiny. Like a shot or something lol
4-5oz is fairly typical for hot sauce. El Yucateco is generally available in a lot of grocery stores (usually for $2-3 in my experience), they may not all have the XXXtra Hot variant pictured, but some will. Most common are the excellent regular habanero kind, the green variety, and the black variety.Mayan Recipe. This looks interesting. Never heard of or seen this out here in CA. Bro I love me some fucking heat. Just like you I like things way hotter than most. I'll have to give the one you first posted a try.I'm not a good candidate for advising people on what's hot. To try to answer your question though, it blows waaaay past the sauces you listed. If you wanted to try something similar, but a bit milder, I'd go for the green sauce. It's still way hotter than the sauces you listed, but milder than the brown. If you think you'd like it even hotter, then go for the brown.
edit:
They have a red sauce that's milder yet, but it has a flavor that's almost like steak sauce. It's good, but it's not what I buy El Yucateco for. I like the green and brown cause they're very "dry". They don't have a heavy vinegar character, and contrary to most habanero sauce, it isn't very fruity. There's also a black sauce that's very smoky, and good for using on beef, but I don't cook beef at the house. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do with it. It's very unique and interesting though. I definitely recommend getting the black if you see it. I've never had anything remotely like it.
That actually sounds good!Has anybody else here tried this? Any fans? Recently heard a recommendation and I saw it on a store shelf, so I grabbed it out of curiosity. I feel like pestering local restaurants to start having this on hand instead of (or in addition to) Heinz. It's much less sweet than Heinz, and has more tomato flavor, without overdoing it.

In any case, I don't use ketchup on anything other than fast food burgers that come with ketchup by default.
