I just purchased this plunge/fixed based router for $140 + tax at Home Depot. It usually sells between $180-$200. YMMV:cool:

How;d you get this deal? Open box? Used? Or was it marked $140. I've been watching this and it's been $199 everytime I've seen it.

There was no orange sticker for the mark down. Thier was actually 2 price tags one for $140 and another for $199. The router rang up $140 at the register.

Stats found on web but box says 1 3/4 Peak HP.

Motor: 1½ hp (10 amp)
Speed: 23,000 RPM
Collets: ¼" and ½"

I scan my receipt and post by the end of the weekend.

I was just thinkin', this may be a local/regional deal, too. Over at one of the woodworking forums last week, some people were getting a price of $109 for a Porter Cable compressor an brad nailer. When I went to price it out on the www site, it was $250. I think it depended on your zip which price you got. I'm going there tonite so I'll ask them to ring it up and see what happens.

Try having them call the Home Depot in Raleigh, NC located on Capital Blvd. If anything they should price match.
