Portable Windows 7 installation

Hi all,

I want to install windows 7 onto a 128gb usb flash thumb drive. I found a tool called wintousb and used it to create an windows installation. However when I plug the usb drive to a system and start up I get a "Disk Read Error press control +alt+delete".. So I looks like this is a fail.

Does anyone know a) how to fix this or b) another way to install windows to a thumb drive.

Thanks.

The Win7 install you did, it boots up on your PC every time with no issues?

Youd have to make sure the right bios boot order is set on another other PC, as well as having the right USB drivers for any other PC you want to use the hardware of, in the build you did.
Even then I think it would be hit or miss....Win8 has this option, but I think its only on enterprise version
