Port Forwarding Not Working

I cannot for some reason direct connect to anything, i even tried chaning routers, but this has not solved the problem, im connect through a static ip from my wireless networking card D-Link AirPlug G DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Adaptor to my Router D-Link 524 Revision C with fireware version 3,02. I Followed the instructions on portforward.com exactly but still nothing works. Is it because i have a wireless network instead of a hard wired network?

Do you have a firewall enabled on your computer like Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, or the Windows firewall? Any of those wculd potentionally block a direct connection attempt.

do you have a modem? you might have to forward ports for that too. i have to do that for my westell modem that bellsouth gave me.

and if you need a sure way to tell if ports are open, check out the ShieldsUp service that grc has.
