Not sure if I like it. I mean I like the looks of it, but it's a little too similar to the 911. IMO, they had it right with the hardtop. Move the cabin's back up so that it ends on top of the rear wheel well and it'd be a lot better.

Then it would be look too much like the Carrera 🙂

With it's mid-engine design, there's only so much you can do with the side windows

Well, those are Ferrari or Maserati rear windows, not Porsche. The bottom edge should not slope up. The whole point of this car is to be mini Carrera, so drop the charade and style the rear side windows properly.

The point is not to be a mini Carrera. The point of this latest Boxster is to be a mini Carrera GT roadster...and from there a coupe based on that design.

If you look at the new Boxster, it looks more like the Carrera GT from a layout/design perspective. Check out the headlights/taillights/side air intake.

wow nice coupe!

I heard that the boxster actually handles better than the carrera

porsche purposedly put less power in the boxster, so it doesnt cut into carrera sales

I wonder if there is an aftermarket tuner that put a supercharger to the boxster

😀😀

But it's not a roadster. And the point is to be a mini 911. Look at the car. So why mess with it? Porsche buyers want the 911 look, they aren't interested in Porsche's design experiments. It's been made abundantly clear long time ago. Don't make it look like 911 and then mess up the look by screwing with the windows for no reason.

The boxster definitely handles better than the 911, even with the extra money spent on the 911. There's only so much you can do with the handling with the engine hanging way out back. Porsche's 3 best handling cars have the engine in the right place (in the middle):

1. Porsche GT1
2. Porsche Carrera GT
3. Porsche Boxster
