Yeah, the Touareg looks MUCH better and the interior is nicer too. Hell, it also has the stompin' 550 lb-ft torque V-10 turbodiesel and the W-12 soon after that.

Yeah, the Touareg looks MUCH better and the interior is nicer too. Hell, it also has the stompin' 550 lb-ft torque V-10 turbodiesel and the W-12 soon after that.

Well Porsche did make tractors back in the day.

Think of it this way, whatever makes them money to put into R&D for their sports cars is a good thing.

I'm sure this is a fine vehicle but in my opinion for me personally it kind of removes the air of performance-auto from my mind that I always carried with the name Porsche. Sure porsche has buggared up in the past (914 anyone?), but ultimately if you say "I drive a porsche" somebody knows you drive a fast sports car. This changes their image, and not for the better to me.

Exactly. Considering how many city snobs drive porsches... i'm sure they would rather buy this one because it has more room than a sportscar AND it has the name Porsche. Best of both worlds for them... but it's the end of the world for Porsche purists. I just wish they'd go back to LeMans and spend their money there instead... 🙁 I would rank Porsche above Lamborghini just because of their racing history.
