The pornographic content provider tweeted a photo showing that searches for gay and transgender content are popular among users in North Carolina.

“The incredible hypocrisy of North Carolina, the land where Homophobia is law,” the company said on Twitter.

According to the company, 50,612 North Carolina searches contained the word ‘gay’ and 48,585 contained the word “shemale,” in 2016.

I'm in NC and it's not blocking anything yet.

It's asking if you support the bill. If you click NO, the site is normal, if you click YES, it says you are blocked, but allows you to change your answer and get in.

So, XHAMSTER isn't really doing anything much regarding the bill.

IIRC, I read something recently about how the big porn sites tube sites are owned by the same parent company. Pretty smart play: "ban" them from one site for the good PR, force them over to your other sites so no revenue lost.

A lot of companies are in the ******* family (the largest, I'd wager), but xhamster is its own thing, not owned by any larger group that I can find.
