Porn Profits Attract Blue-Chip Corporations

Companies like AT&T need to be exposed and made public that they support the porn industry.. This way children's advocacy groups, religious groups, and others can boycott the companies until they change. I'm not saying AT&T shouldn't be able to support the porn industry; I'm saying that they should not be able to support the porn industry and make it look like they're not supporting it - or making a profit from it.

*I'm mentioning AT&T because PBS did a report on the porn industry a while ago and said that AT&T is one of the biggest porn profiteers.

Why should a corporation be forced to disclose any information about any business relationship? Just because you think they should be boycotted? Get real man.

Why exactly would children's advocacy groups boycott AT&T and other corporations for supporting the porn industry? I'm fairly certain they use ppl who are 18 and older, not children.

If it's a publicly traded company, investors have a right to know about their business relationships.

I posted this just as a little informational tidbit. I couldn't care less if corporations are supporting porn 🙂.

<< ...pictures on the Internet's estimated 100,000 pornographic sites. >>

I can count more than 100,000 just in my history from last month 😛

A right? No, I don't think so. Shareholders have a right to elect and maintain a board of directors who oversee the day to day operations of the company. It would be nice if shareholders could get access to that detail of information but it ISN'T ever going to happen. That information is proprietary and often confidential between the two parties with agreements that if one party reveals the extent of the relationship it will result in penalties under contract. No company is forced to disclose any information about any of it's business relationship unless they present a conflict of interest.
