I killed all pop-up adds a long time ago.

Now on to Spam...

Yeah I can control the popups but spam is impossible to avoid these days.

I have an automatic reply I've set up to any and all spam I get on my school acct... basically that their actions constitute spam, by Washington state law, and that if they refuse to take me off their email list, I'll pursue legal action.

$500 per email can add up pretty quickly.

Haven't taken it to court yet. :) Only did this a week ago, though, and I don't get much spam on my school acct.

I live in Washington State too....but i believe this only applies to businesses within the state of Washington. I don't think they can enforce this outside of the state.

I'll just have to track it to businesses within Washington, then. :D

Unfortunately, there aren't any federal laws on it yet.
