Those vacuum sealed marinated ones. The sell by date is Jan 21. We all know that's just a suggestion and sell by doesn't mean eat by. You think it's safe to eat? It's all sealed up, no air so it should be good, right?

Bought refrigerated and been in fridge since.

Old thread. Noob wasn't actually trying to kill spidey07 off - at least I don't think so. Know anybody who's got it in for you, Spidey?

I wouldn't. Frozen hell yeah,.

Do the smell test? Feed it to a neighbor or one of your kids. If they don't get sick get your grub on.

I already did a sniff test. Stuck my nose right up on the meat and did a hearty smell. It's my go to means of figuring if something is good to eat. I just want to see what the hive thinks.

How cold is your fridge? Does the soda freeze often?

36. It's got a freaking digital thermostat/control.

Fobot - you're correct, if I cooked the crap outta it I'd be fine.

But I'll end the suspense. It smelled like rotten putrid piggy so into the trash it went. The first sniff was "meh, real iffy", then as I took it outta the vacuum sealed package and smelled some more - NO! Now the whole kitchen smells like putrid pig flesh.D:

how do you think that makes the donner party feel? :\

It's fucking foul. I can't get the smell outta my nose or the kitchen. Wife is baking some brownies to help. And the trash in the garage is now a biohazard.

Putrid, foul, nose and stomach turning, make you puke bad.

Vacuum packed pork always smells when it is opened. Manufacturers use nitrogen gas to kill bacteria in vacuum packed meats. Next time, rinse it off in water and pat it dry. If the smell is gone, it was just the gas. If the smell is not gone in 5-10 minutes, get rid of the meat.

Yes, it smells like meat. Not ROTTEN PUTRID FLESH.

That package failed the sniff test, not only failed, stunk up the whole house with rotten flesh smell.

You might have had some pretty interesting bugs growing there, Clostridium, Bacillus, a few
bazillion more....
