did not know this was in the works. arriving somewhere is fucking awesome, and i saw them on tour after FoaBP was released.

AS is rivaled only by my dream theater DVD's in quality. i'm sure this will be great and also have a pimp 5.1 mix.

not one other person on here has heard of PT? lulz.

found this on youtube-

would order the DVD off of amazon, but i'm not sure why it specifies 'ac3' and says it's fullscreen in the details. i want the 'good' version, goddammit, but it's probably just an issue of amazon being retarded with their product info.

Well, ac3 is just the audio on the dvd. (as opposed to uncompressed PCM or mpeg2.) I ordered that same one you found on amazon. I didn't want to wait an extra month for the bluray, (that and until I finish my home theater project in my basement ... which I have been slacking, I am using an olde 4:3 rear projection TV set with a DVD player... will be at least a year before I start switching to BluRay)

I'm sure others know Porcupine Tree, Platypus probably knows quite a bit of their music for example.

Anyhow ... amazon shipped today ... so I should have my dvd soon enough :)

Will do, I suspect it's 4:3... but can't say for certain. They are releaseing it in about a month or so as dvd+bluray ... (Amazon ran out of their allotment), but other sites still have available for pre order ...

the dvd+bluray will almost certainly be widescreen ...

arriving somewhere is widescreen. in fact, i think the last non-widescreen music DVD i've seen was metropolis 2000...which, yes, is ten years old.

all i ask is 480p widescreen and a proper 5.1 mix. and steven wilson is usually all about surround mixes.
