I'm needing to replace my backporch cover and want to design a REAL porch cover. This has been bothering me ever since I moved in and figure I'm either going to have to get someone to help me or hire an expert to design a roof that will work properly...
Has anyone dealt with this sort of thing before? Any pointers?
There's currently a 10ft w X 20ft long aluminum roof in place. When it rains hard, water leaks through the ends of this between the house and the porch cover. I would like to replace it with a wooden, shingled structure with at least a 4/12 pitched roof on it, but my house is in the shape of an L and the cover would be sitting between the two portions of the L....basically, it makes water runoff an issue.
