Heh it was only a matter of time until the Eugenics crowd started showing their faces again after what the Nazi's did 65 years ago.

This is based on a book written in 1977? I wonder if his views/outlook have changed since then.

Immigration control.

Stop all illegal immigration. Remove the illegal immigrants already in the country.

Reduce (or stop) all legal immigration. Remove selected non-citizen legal immigrants already in the country.

Hire Karl Rove to spin up a strong anti-immigration campaign...(he was a great propagandist in the Joseph Goebbels tradition)

:p
If that doesn't do it, the resulting civil unrest should make a serious dent in the population.

Increase immigration quotas for hard-working foreigners, sterilize welfare-dependent nationals. Under what logic does "I was born here" make you a more valuable citizen anyways?

Apparently if you came out of the right twat at birth you are god's gift to man and deserving of government benefits no matter how much of a failure you are in life. /joking

There will be a revolution in this country before eugenics is ever put into practice. Can't speak for other countries, though; I don't live there.

Well the US doesn't really have a problem right now... if any national can handle it's population and steady population growth for the next 15-20 years it's the US and Canada. The US have lots of space and the US can easily feed it's own population.

But eventually, at some point, even the US is going to have a population problem. And population problems already exist in many countries and are steadily getting worse. Eventually we are going to have to address this issue in a constructive manner, putting aside some of our personal religious, moral/ethical beliefs.

Realistically even in the US, in within 50 years we probably gonna have to institute a 2-3 children per family rule, ala what China instituted. And eventually, something like this rule will have be to enforced worldwide. I don't like the idea but there really is only so many people that the world can sustain and without some fundamental improvements in energy and food crop technology, plus perhaps some lucky beneficial changes in global weather patterns, we are approaching the maximum capacity of the planet. At some point we will exceed the planets capacity for sustainable climate, ecologies, etc. and we will start killing all of us through the impact we have on the planet (if we are not already doing this in some ways, which i think we are).

No. For two reasons.

#1 - I plan to still be alive for the next 50 fifty years.
#2 - The birth rate for the US is barely above the replacement rate and is trending downward. Most EU nations, as well as Japan have birth rates below the replacement rate. This trend continues as nations industrialise and develop without government intervention.
