Simple poll: If you were to build a computer today, and were to spend about $200 to $250ish on a CPU, what would it be? This is independent of motherboard choices. I'm mainly researching popularity between the AMD64 and the Prescott.
Prescotts, and the chipsets that claim to support them, are terrible. I can't believe the times have changed to where installing an AMD processor on a VIA chipset is easier than installing an Intel 3Ghz+ Prescott on 865, 848, or 880 chipset.
