We've dated for about about 20 months now, and after our relationship making it through a miscarriage, ovarian cancer, and being broke, I figured we could pretty much make it through any problem. She (pocahontas on the forums here) had known about the ring almost since I ordered it from mondera.com about a month ago, she snooped in my email. So while my mom and aunt were in from out of town, we went down to a state park here in Mich. that has a great beach on Lake Michigan. We rented a jetski, and after taking my mom around for 20 minutes, I took the GF out. Rode around for a while, then asked her if she wanted to drive. She did, we we hopped in the water for a few minutes. I said the obligatory mushy stuff, pulled the ring out of the jetski's drybox, and asked her while we were in the water. Pretty good stuff.
