Pop Up Windows on Startup

We working on a computer using XP Pro. When we startup windows we are getting two popup screens that we can not seem to find out where they are coming from. One of them is opening a My Documents window and the other is a window that says Update in the title bar and within that window is another window that says Update in the title bar. In the update window it also has an area along the bottom that you can type into. If I type something in and hit enter it says "not connected to server." It kind of reminds me of Hyper Terminal.

Can anyone help me figure how to stop these from popping up?

A start would be to go to;
START \ Run and type msconfig

Check under the STARTUP Tab for an item reffered to in the POPUP(s).

Also check under the Win.ini Tab.

If they fails to locate the source for you, you can try looking in the REGISTRY.
First thing to check is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Look for anything related to the POPUP(s) [remember to BACKUP the REGISTRY before modifying]
