You have the following IDE periphrials , 2 ATA66 7200rpm hard drives, 1 ATA33 CDRW, and 1 ATA33 CDrom

You have an A7V with the extra Promise ATA100 controller.

A lazy person (such as myself) might simply set this up like

VIA ATA66 1 -> HDD1 master, HDD2 slave
VIA ATA66 2 -> CRRW master, CDrom slave
Promise 1 -> not used
Promise 2 -> not used

A clever Anandtecher who tweaks their system out for max performance and stability with games, burning CD's, and general Office applications would obviously set it up like this...

2940W: HD2 0, DVD 2, CD-r 6
