Poor Viper....

well if you had the money to afford the actual viper then you could afford to replace the spoiler. Otherwise, quit yer bitchin'

I cannot view ebay from work, perhaps it's better that way.

I prefer not to witness the destruction of my brethren.

Viper GTS

The wing is off of the Viper GTS-R, which is the race variant. So it's safe to assume that the wing IS functional, and DOES help. And not only that, it looks alright.

beauitful car, my favortie. however i would pre-fer it in blue, with sliver stripes 😀 i promise i will own a Dodge Viper someday.....

a car that fast actually needs a spoiler..

You should work for Dodge's engineering department then, because apparently they didn't get the memo when making the damn car.

(The plain GTS did not come with a spoiler and did not need one in order to maintain stability at top speed)

Extensive wind?tunnel testing led to subtle airflow enhancements and a not?so?subtle rear wing.

I'll clarify this for you once more since your comprehension skills are apparently lacking. The Viper in that auction is NOT a GTS-R, it's the plain old GTS with a GTS-R wing. Your link was to information on the GTS-R. 🙂

They did, actually. Notice the little curvy lift in the back, thats supposed to do the same thing.

It's not a spoiler though.

Yes it is.

The Viper GTS had an integrated "duck bill" spoiler.

The REAL GTS-R had a functional wing, the GT2 look-a-like that was sold to the public had a non-functional wing.
