As long as he gets to my house with my distortion pedal tomorrow.. I'm going to be setting up leg-hold traps that are chained to a rod in the cement. That way he can't ninja away with my package.

I feel sorry for the drivers dealing with the snow right now. I never cleared off my sidewalk or porch and yet my tracking info says they delivered a package to me today with the location being my porch. It'll be interesting to see where it is when I get home because the snow really accumulated on my porch.. probably a good 3+ feet.

I would have cleared it off last night but the scheduled delivery date was 12/23.

I used to drive for Airborne and DHL in my younger days and like with UPS, Christmas was absolutely insane with the amount of packages we used to have to deliver. I remember that the week after Christmas the trucks were almost empty and we had a lot of free time on our hands. The best week of the year for sure.

I got my package a day early too... insane amount of packages, delivered early? Weird.

I ordered a few things on Amazon on Sunday and of course Amazon says they will be delivered by the 24th.

I got the tracking info last night, and the scheduled delivery date is next Tuesday. I have prime btw.

Honestly I was hoping to see it in front of my front door with a huge pile of untouched snow all around it since the package wasn't fragile... but it was sitting by my garage. I did clear two small paths for my tires so he just walked up there.

Consumers are still buying gifts, despite the recession. To deal with all of the demand, UPS has added 50,000 seasonal employees in the US alone. UPS calls the week before Christmas Day "Peak Week". The company has reported that yesterday was the busiest day of the year for all package deliveries. More than 22 million packages were delivered worldwide, with more than 250 deliveries every second.

I worked for UPS when I was in college, washing trucks at night. At Christmas time, many of the drivers did not get back into the center until 10pm and they were usually exhausted. I, however do no feel too sorry for them as they are very well compensated for their work - many earning $70K+. Not too shabby for a brown collar job. My best friend continued working for them and is still on the job with over 35 years seniority.
