Poor SSD write performance

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this, I'm getting pretty frustrated.

I installed this SSD a couple days ago according to the guide on this site
Installed windows with AHCI enabled
Clean copy of windows (not an image)
It is aligned correctly
Trim is enabled

Now I get more lag spikes then I've gotten with my old 5900 rpm HD so I ran a benchmark test and the read speeds look about right, but the write speeds are downright horrible.
I'm thinking of just trying a reinstall of windows hoping it might fix something but if anyone has any ideas, PLEASE HELP

One of the things that screwed up my write speed was C3/C6 states, once I disabled them, everything was fine...

With C3/C6 enabled:

Thanks for the reply
I actually read that post but couldn't find c3/c6 anywhere in my bios
I wonder if it's called something else on my motherboard
Do you know what the setting is suppose to do?
I'll look into it a little more

Your random write speeds are HORRIBLE!

Even on my lowly, older, OCZ Agility 30GB (Indilinx Barefoot controller), I get something like 9-10MB/sec random write speeds.

Yours are comparable to a mechanical HD.

Yeah I've checked AHCI multiple times in a form of hopeless desperation
I'm going to go with I just got a bad drive and return it
