It's funny since I'm positive they got the ducklings back. I love ducks/geese. We have a bunch at our school. I feed them bread but I trick them and pick them up. They freak out but I think deep down they actually like it.

I love duck . . . but god I hate geese. I swear I had a big goose target on my back when I was little, those evil canadian geese would always chase me.

Well yeah, geese are asses. They hiss at me (people don't realize that they can hiss) even when I'm feeding them. But I get down and in their face and they back off. If they give me too much emotion then I chase them around. They know who's boss. We have a special bond

EDIT2:

story @ the bottom of the page..donno if this is right either, story mentions 13 ducks.

I guess this happens a lot? I guess the person who took the pics did save or notified someone to save the ducklings no?

Years ago I used to ride my bike past a pond every day where there were both ducks and geese. I would always carry bread crumbs in my pocket to feed to the ducks. I got so I would start "Quacking" right before I got to the pond, and all the ducks would come running for their treat. One winters day I was wearing some ski bibs to keep warm when this goose decided he had had enough (maybe I was Quacking off key?) and ran up and latched onto my bibs. At first it was kinda funny, since the bibs protected me from actually getting bitten. It STOPPED being funny when he wouldn't turn loose! Finally I grabbed my leg, with goose still attached, swung my leg over the railing of the bike path and let the goose hang until he let go! He never DID let go however, eventually he just ripped out a section of my bibs and went crashing into the water below. Since that time, I have had the UTMOST respect for geese! ;)

happens all the time. Little ducks get caught in storm/sewer drains.

My friend used to do fencing in the summer. One of the supervisors was a man who was, how shall we say, in touch with his anger. Anyway they were doing some fencing up in Tahoe and the geese were being their usual asshat geese selves. Well one of them makes the mistake of biting Brad (the supervisor) on the leg. So what does Brad do? He spins around and punches the goose, hard, in the top of the head. According to my friend the goose's head actually hit the ground, Brad hit him so hard.

After that they put chewing tobacco on a cracker and fed it to him. Apparantly the goose acted like it was on meth for the next 15 minutes. I would have paid to see that.

Anywho, yeah, poor duckies, but I've seen plenty of birds do things that stupid. We used to have chickens; talk about bad parenting.

Oh yes, *giggles like a schoolgirl*. That's funny. :p

I hate geese because when I was a freshman undergrad I went to a school for 1 semester where a small river was running right through the campus and I had to cross it every day I had class. The geese would be there year round and poop all over the sidewalk. the area around the river was literaly covered in goose turds. They have no respect for sidewlk.

Good thing it wasn't a swan, they are badass.

But yeah, I feed the geese down at our beach place, and if you get to close they sort of hiss. They tilt their head back and open their mouth. It's crazy.
