I'd like to note that most parts of the world that use the squatting position for their toilets are dirty filthy places...

Oh man... I had no idea.

Two years after his article on diverticulosis appeared, Dr. Berko Sikirov issued another indictment of the "porcelain throne" ? this time for causing fatal heart attacks from straining.

Some medical terms used here may be unfamiliar to the layman. "Valsalva Maneuver" means pushing down forcefully while holding your breath. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, this maneuver "increases pressure within the thoracic cavity and thereby impedes venous return of blood to the heart." Another technical term is "syncope" which means "fainting."

That health page is an awesome read. Too bad that wobbly device looks like a horrible accident waiting to happen (hehe).

Why don't they just manufacture toilets that are closer to the ground? That would be a better idea I think.

In those cultures, appendicitis,
diverticulosis, hemorrhoids, colitis,
prostate disorders and colon cancer
are virtually unknown
that's because they die of being eaten by lions before they can develop those diseases

LMAO! That's hillarious. It does look rickety though. I see it breaking and me falling into a toilet full of turds! That would ruin yer day.

that thing doesnt look too stable... in fact, it looks like a tv tray with a hole cut out in the middle! did the inventor find a bunch of tv trays at a local garage sale or something, and while he was on the crapper eating dinner, have an epiphany or something?!

btw, this thread is sh*tty! sorry, couldnt resist. ;)
