Im wanting to get a pool table but I dont know much about em. What size are the bar tables?

They have one at Walmart for $279 but its a 7ft table.

Anyone know anything about em?

Bar tables could be 4X6

If you are in any way serious at all about pool, get a regulation size and spend a couple G. Any less you're getting junk.

I just want a casual game room...Im not gonna be a pool shark. I just want to play with some freinds over a couple beers.

Im just wondering what to look for in a table....

Link to pool table sizes and necessary room sizes.
A 7" foot table is a bar-sized table, the smallest size.

I definitely second the motion for the slate table, and not the cheap-o particle board table. This has nothing to do with being a shark. Particle board tables don't just warp over time, they're not properly level from day one. A perfectly flat slate table is really required just for pure enjoyment of the game and for proper skill building.
If you're going to buy a table, pay the money and buy a nice one. They last almost forever (if you take care of it) and they're worth it.

People will sell pool tables for cheap if your willing to pick them up and transport them.

Heck, I have a 7ft. Valley table that I just recovered myself that I'd sell for $200.

After a while of disuse they just become huge monuments in your house.

What would shipping be on that?

😀

222 lbs? Must be particle board. We carried the 3/4" slate in my table by itself down my basement and it had to weigh 300 lbs.

This is the one I think Im gonna get. I work there so I can get 10% off and it seems like an O.K table. Unless I can find one used in the paper in good shape...

Thanks for the input folks🙂
