It only took GM 16 years to copy the Miata.....brilliant, simply brilliant.

Has the Miata ever had more than 200 hp, let alone 260?

Who cares? It isn't like it is hard to slap a turbo on an engine and make power.

I like the interior, but design wise meh, but that's about all I have to say about it, I don't think it can come much near the Japanese competetion, and not even to mention the German competetion if that's what they are aiming at IMHO

did you poor yanks never get the mx-5 SP?

The result of the SP's intercooled turbo system is a quoted 157kW at 6800 rpm and 289Nm at 4600 rpm

That's the whole point. It already has a turbo out of the box.

kay. Dunno how much 50ish HP makes up for being 400lbs or so heavier. I think the solstice looks sexier though. Its fvcking amazing that GM has an actually decent looking car coming out thats not a corvette.

Why would GM want to copy that sh!t car? God I hate Miatas, but I really like the Solstice. 🙂

It is basically the same damn car, conceptually at least. It appeals to the same market segment of people who want to drive around a tiny impractical car but it is about 16 years late is all I am saying. It isn't a fresh idea. Tha Avalanche, as horrid as it is, is at least original in concept.

heh, there was a pretty sizeable thread on some solstice forum that went something like, how many times within a month of purchase did your car have to go back to the dealer?
