I like the styling, but what the hell is up with the way the dual exhaust is situated? Just trying to be different, I guess.
 
The coupe was always my favorite of the Solstice concepts, I was disappointed when they produced it only as a soft-top.

If they actually build something close to the concept coupe it should be beautiful.

I actually like it, though I'd be somewhat surprised if it made production. IIRC they had that on both the coupe and soft-top concepts but it obviously didn't make it to production on the current model.

agreed, i think the standard dual exhaust is the way to go
 
I think that picture is of some prototype from the year 2000.
I prefer my convertable, much more fun in the summer.
 
Pontiac is considering making a smaller RWD sedan on a platform based on the Holden Torana, which uses a few Kappa parts (Solstice, Sky). It will probably be close to the size of a BMW 3-series (Cadillac is getting something on the same platform), but I don't know if they're planning on making a G5 RWD replacement (which would be even more awsome).

EDIT: I guess a new G5 is a go based on that story. Pontiac would be an awsome brand if they had:

-A low price sport coupe/convertable (Solstice)
-Low price 2-door small car (G4 or G5 rwd)
-Mid-sized sport sedan (G6 or G7 rwd)
-Large sport sedan (G8)
-Mid priced muscle car (reborn GTO or Firebird based on the new Camaro)

I think this is the direction that GM wants to turn Pontiac into, and it looks like they are already on the way to becoming like this.

I swore I'd never buy another new car, but this one is gonna be difficult to resist

I used to have a LJ Torana, had a straight 2.8L six and 4 speed manual box. The steering wheel was off centre to the driver also....

Back on topic, that coupe sure looks nice, did I read right, only a straight 4 in it?

Eh? There's no accounting for taste 😉

New new Solstice Coupe is great, but that G8 is fugly past the point of no return. It looks like they superglued the front off of my old Grand Am. Just horrible.
